Our Egg EV Charger Plan is currently only available in the UK right now. All you need is access to private, off-street parking and the permission to install a charge point if you don’t own your home (e.g. if you’re renting).
There are lots of different chargers out there and it can be a bit overwhelming. Our chargers of choice are the Autel MaxiChargers, BG Sync and the EO Mini Pro 3. After testing all of the chargers on the market, we think these are cracking!As part of Egg's EV Charger Plan you can choose to have a socket-only charger or a cable-attached charger, it's up to you! Some people prefer to have the cable on hand to quickly plug in their electric car, others like to keep it tidy with just the charger on the wall, which are you?Please note that the Autel MaxiCharger Wallbox Home does not have a display screen on the charger; this feature is limited to the commercial units and is not included on the home chargers.

Yes. You will own your charger from the moment we install it at your property. Our EV Charger Plan is simply an easy way to buy a charger, spreading the cost over 36 months. Plus, with Egg Plus included, you can sit back and relax knowing your charger is covered if anything goes wrong.
You can manage your charger remotely from our app. Once you’ve had your charger installed, you will be given the login details. After which, you can schedule when your car should charge (e.g. at the cheapest or most convenient times), track how much you are spending and ask for support.
When using a smart charger, having a dual tariff, or an EV specific tariff from your energy provider can really lower the cost. Specialist tariffs incentivise you to charge during off-peak periods (through the night or early morning) and give you reduced electricity rates. You can still charge during the day if you need to, however this will be at your standard rate.
Our EO Mini Pro 3 and BG Sync chargers are compatible with all solar systems as standard, and can use any excess energy rather than exporting it to the grid.Whilst our chargers can work with battery storage systems, due to the variances in how the battery systems are installed and controlled, users could experience integration issues. We would recommend speaking to us first to discuss your options.
