Egg Emergency Cover is provided by Card Protection Plan Limited (CPP) who arrange cover with ACE European Group Limited, ACE Building, 100 Leadenhall Street, London EC3A 3BP (FSA authorisation number 202803). Benefits enable you to make one phone call to cancel all your cards, up to £5000 cover against fraudulent use of your cards so long as CPP is notified within 24 hours of discovering loss/theft and up to £100,000 thereafter (policy section B1) plus cash advance (section B8), hotel bill advance (section B4) and replacement travel tickets (section B9) subject to status and repayable within 28 days. CIFAS protective registration if you lose personal documents (section B11) plus lock and key replacement in the event of loss/theft (section B2).

Exceptions: Unauthorised card use cover is not available if you use the card in a way not permitted or someone else at your home uses the card without permission (section A2). One year and three year cover available. Where three year cover is chosen, you should review cover periodically to ensure this remains adequate. There is a 14 day statutory cooling off period from the start date detailed in your welcome pack with a money back guarantee. For claims on your policy or complaints, telephone 0844 848 4266. If dissatisfied, you may be able to refer to the Financial Ombudsman Service (phone: 0845 080 1800). Egg and CPP are members of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme so you may be entitled to compensation if we cannot meet our obligations. Insurance advising and arranging is covered 100% for the first £2000 and 90% for the remainder of the claim, without upper limit.
