The Egg Fixed Rate Bond (Egg 2 Year Fixed Bond 2) (the "Bond") is only available to Egg Savings Account customers whose applications and cleared deposits are received by 30 December 2009. The Bond is subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. We reserve the right to refuse any application to open a Bond. The Bond is for a two year term. All deposits received for the Bond must be first deposited in the applicant's Egg Savings Account (excluding Egg Cash ISA accounts) and subject to us having accepted your application the funds will then be deposited into the Bond the following business day. The Bond is provided by Egg Banking plc. The minimum deposit is £1,000 and the maximum is £2,000,000. Please refer to the special conditions for full details.

The gross rate is the contractual rate before deduction of tax at the rate specified by law.

AER means the Annual Equivalent Rate and is a notional rate which illustrates the contractual interest rate as if paid and compounded on an annual basis.

As every advertisement for a savings product which quotes an interest rate will contain an AER, you will be able to compare more easily what return you can expect from your savings over time.

Interest will be paid on the first anniversary of the Opening Date and on maturity of the Bond.
