Egg Savings Accounts are provided by Yorkshire Building Society.
Interest rates are variable (unless otherwise stated) and correct as at 1 November 2011. The minimum deposit is £1. The gross rate is the contractual rate before deduction of tax at the rate specified by law. AER means the Annual Equivalent Rate and is a notional rate which illustrates the contractual interest rate as if paid and compounded on an annual basis.
For withdrawals, if we receive your request before 6pm on a business day, the payment will arrive by the end of the next business day, otherwise it will take up to 2 business days to clear. There's no charge for this transfer. If you request a CHAPS transfer before 2pm on a business day, the payment will be received by your external account that day, otherwise it will be received on the next business day. There is an additional £25 charge for CHAPS.
With the Egg Savings Account (internet) Issue 2 introductory rate offer, interest earned during the first twelve months from the date the account is opened will be paid at the end of the twelve month period.

Cash ISAs with Egg
Cash ISAs with Egg are provided by Yorkshire Building Society. Interest rates are variable and correct as at 1 November 2011. Interest is paid gross free of income tax. The tax treatment depends on the individual circumstances of each customer and may be subject to change in the future. The minimum deposit is £1 and the maximum deposit in the current tax year is £5,340. The gross rate is the contractual rate before deduction of tax at the rate specified by law. AER means the Annual Equivalent Rate and is a notional rate which illustrates the contractual interest rate as if paid and compounded on an annual basis. For withdrawals, we will pay money into a nominated bank account via BACS in three business days if we receive the request before 6pm on a business day. Otherwise, it will take four business days to clear. There's no charge for a BACS transfer. If you request a CHAPS transfer before 2pm on a business day, the payment will be received by your external account that day, otherwise it will be received on the next business day. There is an additional £25 charge for CHAPS. The minimum withdrawal is £1. Interest is paid annually on the anniversary of the opening date of the Account. Accounts are available to those aged 16 and over who are resident and ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom (excluding the Channel Islands and Isle of Man) for tax purposes who have a permanent National Insurance number, and who have internet access and an email address. You cannot subscribe to another cash ISA in the same Tax Year that you subscribe to a cash ISA with Egg. Transfers in from other ISA providers are not accepted. Payments into the account must be made either from an Egg Savings Account, by Direct Debit, BACS, Faster Payments, debit card or CHAPS. Terms and conditions apply.
