Type of Insurance and Cover
This insurance is provided free to all Egg Money World MasterCard Cardholders and provides indemnity if a Cardholder books tickets with their Egg Money World MasterCard to an event that they are subsequently unable to attend (see full definitions within the policy wording).

What is Covered Tickets purchased in full using an Egg Money World MasterCard to an event that the Cardholder is subsequently unable to attend up to £100 per event per Cardholder.

Cancellation period
Cover is provided at no extra cost and is automatically included within the terms and conditions of your Egg Money World MasterCard, as such the policy can only be cancelled by cancelling the credit card.

Making Yourself Heard
If you are not satisfied with the way in which your claim has been dealt with, you should write to; The Managing Director, International SOS Insurance Services Ltd, 2nd Floor, Watermen's Hall, 16 St Mary at Hill, London, EC3R 8EF. If the problem remains unresolved, the situation can be referred to the Complaints Department at Lloyd's, who may, in certain circumstances, be able to review the matter. If the complaint is still not resolved, you can approach The Financial Ombudsman Service. Referral to the Financial Ombudsman will not affect your right to take legal action.
Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)
All parties are covered by the FSCS, which is triggered when an authorised firm goes out of business. In this unlikely event you may be entitled to compensation from the scheme. Full details are available at

Policy Document - Event Cover Welcome to Your Egg Money World MasterCard Event Cover Policy.
This cover is free to all Egg Money World MasterCard Cardholders.
In the event of You needing to make a claim please contact the Claims Helpline on 020 8762 8002.
Telephone calls may be monitored or recorded to assist with staff training and for quality control purposes.
Under this Policy the Insurer agrees to provide event cover on the basis of the following terms, conditions and exclusions.

1. THE CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE
1.1 This Certificate is a contract of insurance. This document contains the details of the cover, and the terms, conditions and exclusions relating to each Cardholder, and is the basis upon which all claims will be settled.
1.2 In consideration of payment of the premium by Us, the Cardholder is entitled to indemnified Benefits and Services under this Certificate, during the Period of Insurance, within the geographical limits, subject to the terms, conditions & exclusions.
1.3 The Benefits are underwritten by certain underwriters at Lloyd's. Lloyd's is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
1.4 This Certificate shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction in any dispute arising hereunder unless otherwise agreed by underwriters in writing.

2. MEANING OF WORDS
Act of Terrorism shall mean an act, including but not limited to the use of force or violence and/or threat thereof, of any person or group(s) of persons, whether acting alone or on behalf of or in connection with any organisation(s) or government(s), committed for political, religious, ideological or similar purposes or reasons including the intention to influence any government and/or to put the public, or any section of the public, in fear.
Benefits shall mean the indemnified benefits supplied by Underwriters under the terms and conditions of this Certificate.
Card means a card issued by Us in which the Benefits of this Certificate have been incorporated.
Cardholder/s, You, Your shall mean any person who has a valid Egg Money World MasterCard issued by Us bearing Bank Identification Number (BIN) 518625.
Certificate means this Certificate of Insurance.
Effective Date means the day you receive your Egg Money World MasterCard.
Event means a prearranged show, match or other organised event for which tickets for attendance are purchased in full in advance on Egg Money World MasterCard.
Expiry Date means the date your Egg Money MasterCard is no longer open or is not operated within the terms and conditions of Your account.
General Exclusions means the exclusions listed in Section 9 of this Certificate.
Period of Insurance shall be the period between the Effective Date and the Expiry Date.
Underwriters refers to certain underwriters at Lloyds of London.
We, Us, Our: Egg Banking plc (registered number 2999842) of Pride Park, Derby DE99 3GG (we are a bank authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and entered in the FSA register under number 205621).
You, Your, Cardholder: the Principal Cardholder and Additional Cardholders as specified in the Egg Money World MasterCard Agreement.
3. GEOGRAPHICAL LIMITS
3.1 The Benefits described in this Certificate are provided on a worldwide basis.
4. ELIGIBILITY
4.1 The Cardholder is eligible for the Benefits in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Certificate or any other eligibility criteria set by Us in writing with the prior agreement from Underwriters and/or International SOS Insurance Services.

5. PERIOD OF INSURANCE
5.1 This Certificate shall commence on the Effective Date and shall be in force until the Expiry Date.
5.2 All Cardholders are entitled to the Benefits from the date of activation of their card account or the date the Cardholder has been notified to Underwriters, whichever comes later and subject to the appropriate premium having being paid to Underwriters.
5.3 The entitlement to Benefits will cease automatically on the date Underwriters receive written notification of the deletion of the Cardholder or the termination of the Cardholder?s Card account, whichever comes first.
5.4 A Cardholder's eligibility for the Benefits shall cease on the earliest of:
- the date the Cardholder is no longer eligible for the Benefits pursuant to this Certificate; or
- the Date of Termination or Expiry Date, whichever occurs first

6. WHAT IS COVERED
6.1 If, a Cardholder books tickets to an Event that they are subsequently unable to attend, then the Underwriters will be responsible for indemnifying the Cardholder for the cost of the unused tickets up to the limit shown in Section 7 of this Certificate.
Conditions To Section 6
6.2 Tickets to the event must have been booked and paid for in advance on the Egg Money World MasterCard through recognised ticket agencies and not privately or through touts.
6.3 The minimum cost per ticket must be in excess of £20.00.
6.4 The number of claims per Cardholder per year is limited to four tickets either separately or for a single event.
6.5 Additional costs such as hotel and travel arrangements not included in the ticket price are not covered under the terms of this policy.

8. GENERAL CONDITIONS
8.1 Written notice of any incident which may give rise to a claim shall be given to the Underwriters within thirty (30) days of the occurrence or as soon as reasonably practicable. A claim form must be completed by the Cardholder and submitted to the Underwriters within ninety (90) days of the loss being incurred. All original tickets must be submitted to substantiate a claim.
8.2 If fraudulent means or devices are used by the Cardholder and/or anyone acting on his/her behalf, to obtain any Benefits provided under this Certificate, any and all rights in respect of the concerned Cardholder in terms of this Certificate shall be forfeited immediately.
8.3 If the Benefits of this Certificate are covered in whole or in part by any other insurance policy and/or other source, the Cardholder shall only be entitled to claim those costs, which cannot be recovered by the Cardholder from such other policy (s)/ sources.
8.4 We will always communicate with you in English.
8.5 The Underwriters may at any time change any term or condition of this Policy. If this is the case we will give you not less than thirty (30) days written notice of such change to you at your last known address.

9. WHAT IS NOT COVERED
This Certificate does not cover:
9.1 Costs, which are more specifically covered by or recoverable from any other insurance policy under which the Cardholder is covered;
9.2 Claims notified more than thirty (30) days after the event;
9.3 Claims arising from or in any way connected with a wilfully self inflicted Bodily Injury or Illness, insanity, alcohol, drug or substance abuse or self exposure to needless peril (except in an attempt to save human life) including suicide;
9.4 Claims relating to the commission of, or the attempt to commit, an unlawful act;
9.5 Any expense, regardless of any contributory cause(s), involving the use of or release or the threat thereof of any nuclear weapon or device or chemical or biological agent, including but not limited to expenses in any way caused or contributed to by an Act of Terrorism or war;
9.6 Any expense which is a direct result of nuclear reaction or radiation;

10. INTERMEDIARY
10.1 The intermediary for this contract is International SOS Insurance Services Ltd, 2nd Floor, Watermen?s Hall, 16 St Mary at Hill, London EC3R 8EF, to whom all correspondence should be addressed.
11. HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM
11.1 In the event of an event occurring that may give rise to a claim under this Certificate, the Cardholder, or his representative, should contact International SOS on 020 8762 8002.
11.2 The Cardholder must first check his/her policy wording and the relevant section(s), terms, conditions and exclusions, to ensure that what you are intending to claim for is covered. Original invoices, receipts, official reports, tickets, agreements, credit card slips, or other documentary evidence will be required to be submitted in support of any claim.
11.3 Upon contacting International SOS to report a claim, the Cardholder should request a claim form, which should be returned to the address given within twenty eight (28) days, along with all required supporting documentation. Claimants are advised to retain copies of all documents for their own reference.

12. COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
International SOS aims to provide a high class service at all times, however if the service is found to be unsatisfactory, the following procedure is available to resolve the problem:
In the first instance the Cardholder should write with details of the complaint to: The Managing Director, International SOS Insurance Services Ltd, 2nd Floor, Watermen's Hall, 16 St Mary at Hill, London, EC3R 8EF.
If the problem remains unresolved, the situation can be referred to the Complaints Department at Lloyd's, who may, in certain circumstances, be able to review the matter.
